It is said that the worth of a civilization can be judged by the place given to women in the society. In India, we worship our strong, independent goddesses And I think no will deny the fact that women in India have made a considerable progress since independence.
Breaking the glass ceilings, recently two women (external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and defense minister Nirmala Sitharaman) have become the members of the powerful cabinet committee on security (CCS). This news is also a perfect example of women empowerment in India.
But there is still a long road to travel… Even today’s women have to struggle against many social evils in the male dominated society. marital rape is one of those serious issues.
I’m sure after just reading the term ‘marital rape’, many people will start to label me as a feminazi, pseudo-feminist, Philistine, Misanthrope, etc etc. Why? because marital doesn’t exist…

So true..there is still a huge number of women, waiting for that empowerment, waiting to get that support.. They feel sacrificing everything, enduring all the pain is their duty, bt it is not..they need to understand that no one is going to help u until and unless u decide to help urself..pepl will judge u..bcoz this is wat they do..bt u need to stand for urself..enduring pain and insult is not wat a marriage is all about..

Even today, Women in India wen fall in love think that enduring all the pain and all the insult is one of their duty, is something they do to show love..its high time they understand the meaning of true love which is in empowernment and not in supressing someone..They need to know pepl will always judge u nomatter wat u do..so just stand up for urself and ur self esteem..

And the main problem is that our people here thinks that India is male dominated society so they don’t let girls and women’s to apply their thoughts in this society 😔 but Education will make a big change in India in upcoming years. .
